Sweet & Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. First preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium sized bowl whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, add the melted but cooled butter, brown sugar, and cane sugar. Whisk vigorously until thick and paste like. Now whisk in the eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Pour in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and use a spatula to fold and combine leaving a few flour streaks. Add in chocolate chips and fold chips with spatula until they are evenly spread out and all flour is blended in.
  5. Using a 1/4 C measuring cup, scoop about 4-5 cookies on one baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes. Edges will be golden and middle will be puffed up.
  6. While cookies are baking, go ahead and chop your baking chips.
  7. When cookies come out, top with your chopped baking chips and a healthy amount of flaky sea salt.
  8. Transfer to a cooling rack and cool about 15 -20 minutes before eating.

Notes

These are best enjoyed when warmed.
