Sweet & Salty Chocolate Chip Cookies
- First preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium sized bowl whisk the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the melted but cooled butter, brown sugar, and cane sugar. Whisk vigorously until thick and paste like. Now whisk in the eggs and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and use a spatula to fold and combine leaving a few flour streaks. Add in chocolate chips and fold chips with spatula until they are evenly spread out and all flour is blended in.
- Using a 1/4 C measuring cup, scoop about 4-5 cookies on one baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes. Edges will be golden and middle will be puffed up.
- While cookies are baking, go ahead and chop your baking chips.
- When cookies come out, top with your chopped baking chips and a healthy amount of flaky sea salt.
- Transfer to a cooling rack and cool about 15 -20 minutes before eating.
