Instructions
Preparing the Lasagna
- First, preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Next, brown the ground bison until brown on medium heat.
- Add in all your dried seasonings and cook until fat is cooked back into meat. (We don't want to waste all that good fat).
- Once all mixed, turn heat down to low and add in the marinara sauce give a good mix. While the meat simmers, go ahead and start shredding your block of raw cheddar.
- When done getting all your ingredients, and items prepared in one place. Grab a 9x13 pan and spoon about 2 cups of that meat mixture on the bottom of your pan. Next you will layer your lasagna sheets, spread a few dollops of ricotta on top of your lasagna sheets, add shredded cheese. Repeat layers until all gone.
- Now you will cover your lasagna with aluminum foil and cook for 30 minutes. Once the 30 minutes is up take the foil off and cook uncovered for 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbling and golden.
- Top with chopped fresh parsley to add some color.
- Let sit for 20-30 minutes, and ENJOY!
Notes
- If you enjoy a thicker or taller lasagna, use a deep 8x8 pan.
- Want to elevate this meal? Add a caesar salad and a side of sourdough toast with herb butter.
